Education
Education helps prevent new infections from taking place, improves quality of life for people living with HIV, and helps to reduce the stigma of living with HIV.
AcadianaCares gives people information about HIV and AIDS, how the disease is spread and how people can protect themselves from infection.
SiHLE
Sisters – Informing, Healing, Living, and Empowering (SiHLE) offers specialized training and education to reduce risky sexual behavior among young African-American women ages 14 to 18. Mentors communicate with teenagers in small group discussions that emphasize ethnic and gender pride, as well as STD risk reduction strategies.
HIV/STD 101 Classes
